Karen's Best Oatmeal

Ingredients

Method

1. Put sliced bananas in the bottom of a microwaveable bowl. Add oatmeal and blueberries (or fruit of your choice) on top of oatmeal.
2. Pour apple juice and almond milk over mixture. Add enough almond milk to make sure the oatmeal is well covered.
3. Microwave on high for one minute, 45 seconds.
4. Sprinkle flaxseed meal and liberal amounts of cinnamon on top and stir. Enjoy!

Notes

For a variation, try Linwood's Flaxseed Meal and Goji Berries, available at Bed, Bath and Beyond. Be wary of other combinations of flaxseed meal with fruits, as they often have added oil. Also note that the flaxseed meal tastes better if it is not heated, which is why I sprinkle it on top at the end.
